At no stage was I informed during ordering or prior to shipping that this would happen. Instead, I received a blank shep shirt - no decals/embroidery at all. That’s what I ordered and paid an extraordinary sum for. Because it was a 'Custom Shoe Shirt' it was expensive. The order was confirmed by Vineyard Vines during checkout. I recently ordered a Men's Custom Shep Shirt (Navy) with an American flag on the shoulder and a whale with a Santa’s hat on the chest. Wrong product supplied and no answer from 'customer service' on issue This has turned out to be a time consuming and frustrating purchase. My hope is that vineyard vines will spend a greater effort training their customer service people and get their act together on cancellations. I do like their products and will continue to order from them. Secondly, even though I will receive credit for the shirt upon returning it, with all the technology available today I feel spending an accumulated time of an hour either on hold or speaking with customer service is not good PR for a company. I called customer service again and after being on hold (listening to the ridiculous hold music)for ten minutes or more was told the item had actually not been canceled and had shipped. A few days later I received an email stating two of the items I had actually received had been canceled. She put me on hold and when she came back told me she had canceled it. As this was for a birthday gift and it apparently was not going to make it in time I asked her to cancel it. I was told it was on back order and she didn’t know when it would be available. I called customer service to inquire about the third item. I then received an email that two of the three items had been shipped. Ok, I tried to be patient and understanding of that occurrence.
I placed an order for three items which were to be a birthday gift.
